WHAT DID I DO WITH JAMIE PERRETT?

I met Jamie through a mutual friend, Micky, the bassist of Orlando Seale and the Swell and Harpo Smith.

I’ve played several gigs and demoed songs with Jamie. I think the majority of the gigs we’ve played together have been for peoples birthday’s (including my own in 2020. You can see us in the picture at the top of this page), sadly no bar mitzvahs or funerals yet.

We always rehearse at Jamie’s parent’s house in East London. There’s plenty of vintage gear there and it used to be a recording studio, so it’s the ideal layout and place to rehearse. The studio was called Pathway Studios. It was a small 8-track studio and saw many notable names record there such as Dire Straits, The Police, Madness, The Damned and Siouxsie and the Banshees are just some of the artists to have passed through its doors.

In 2019 Jamie wrote and recorded his debut solo album. We were working on the live element of the album before the COVID-19 outbreak stopped us from rehearsing together.

Master of Destruction is one of Jamie’s songs and it’s featured on Peter Perrett’s album Humanworld.

Here’s a video of Jamie, Jenny and I playing at The Stags Head in Haggerston for someone’s birthday celebration back in around 2019.
